preoccupied by the sound of phony ducklingswhen i was too young to count
but not old enough to be afraid,
ricky told me that mama had been
eaten by dinosaurs.
unfazed,
i wondered aloud
what color the sky must have been.
he said purple
because when it's green they only eat plants.
how silly, i thought.
isn't red the color of fear?
at least red was the color
emanating from the dinner table,
washing our dishes,
and folding our clothes.
waves of scarlet flooded our noses
and swept us away,
washing out the sweet notes from our coloring books.
only flat ones came now
from our flutes,
sour rhythms from the castanets
that we heartily clapped yesterday,
sending brick walls tumbling down.

Just so you know, I am a little busy right now so I can't get the commissions done right away. However, I always seem to be able to find time to do these things, so I will definitely get them done within about 2-3 of when I receive the commission! If you have any special requests (any non-drawing commission or a drawing type not listed here) send me a special request via the notes feature and I'll decide on a price (they'll probably be a bit more expensive, and I will only agree if I am able to fulfill your request). Also, regular donations are accepted too, of course (though I'm sure that most of you will want me to do a commission!).

Springfest 2013!!!

Hi guys!
I know it's been a while since I've been on... I've done a bit more drawing but I've been too lazy to post :/
Anyway, I'm going to Springfest at Polytechnic in Brooklyn tomorrow with my friend! I went with her to Comic Con, too

She's in my younger brother's grade, and she is awesome.
I'm going to cosplay as Osaka from Azumanga Daioh, and I'll be wearing the outfit she wears in the cafe scene where they wear the dad hats. Since I made a dad hat a couple of months ago, I decided it would be the easiest thing

However, I couldn't find the right color skirt, so I'm just wearing a black skirt with a yellow napkin tucked into it! My friend is going as Fem!Italy from Hetalia(obviously), so I'm sure she'll be adorable

If I can get a good picture of my costume tomorrow, I'll post it.
I doubt any of you are going, but if you are, please tell me! It's not exactly the biggest convention, and maybe we'll see you there.
